As much as I hate seeing that on windshield banners, it's very true. You don't really "get it" until you own one - I know I didn't. It is kind of hard to put into words, but other than it just plain being a blast to drive, I really admire the Jeep's purity. It doesn't try to be nice or luxurious, it just is what it is. It's refreshing, for once, a (relatively new) American car doesn't use obscene amounts of plastic to try to make a "pretty" dashboard, utilize "air conditioning" or try to make it ride "smooth". It's a reminder that we're incredibly god damned spoiled by today's cars, and at the same time, makes you realize how unnecissary it all is. It's funny; in my Jeep, on the coldest day of the year, wind whistling through my canvas windows, with a foot on the gas trying to keep it running, I almost pity people driving around in their leather wrapped, cozy little Saabs. Pansies.
